The China National Coating Industry Association was established in January 1985 with the approval of the former State Economic and Trade Commission. It was officially registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs in June 1991 and is currently under the supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. The association is a cross-industry, cross-departmental, and legally recognized organization composed of voluntary and equal members from national coating and pigment enterprises and related institutions.
The association's secretariat, as a permanent institution, consists of three departments, one office, and two companies (the Member Services Department, the Industry Development Department, the IT Department, the Secretariat Office, and the affiliated magazine and exhibition companies).
The China National Coating Industry Association currently has more than 1300 group member units. Its mission is to serve the development of enterprises and promote the revitalization of the industry, providing dedicated services to its member units.
The responsibilities of the secretariat include guiding enterprises in the implementation of relevant industry policies, regulations, standards, and rules issued by the government; conducting industry publicity and training; regulating market behavior; facilitating domestic and international trade; enhancing the industry's overall strength through international exchanges and cooperation; representing the association in signing important documents; conducting investigations and reporting on the development and relevant issues of the association's work; coordinating, evaluating, implementing, and managing the daily work of various association departments; and coordinating the work of association branches and entities.
The secretariat office is responsible for administrative, personnel, logistics, financial, and archival management, as well as internal management of the secretariat. It is also responsible for establishing and improving various systems and corporate culture within the association, performance assessments, and compiling and submitting work plans and summaries. Additionally, it manages attendance, personnel recruitment, assessment, dismissal, and social security matters. The office also drafts relevant reports, documents, and regulations for the association, manages association documents and materials, and oversees the association's official seals and introduction letters. It assists in organizing various internal meetings, maintains the China Coating Network, develops the secretariat's paperless office system, formulates annual budgets and final accounts, and manages the association's funds, fixed assets, taxes, and other administrative matters. Finally, it oversees the management of the association and company's office facilities, such as computers, fax machines, and photocopiers.
Membership Services Department: Responsible for the management of association members and branch organizations, as well as the development of members and collection of membership fees. It is also responsible for the preparation and coordination of the Executive Council, Council, Membership Assembly, and Association Annual Meeting, and actively cooperates with relevant departments of the association to reflect the demands of the members to various levels of government departments, and to improve the quality of service to members. Additionally, it is responsible for international communication and exchange of the association, and organizing industry annual meetings, council meetings, membership assemblies, and external contacts.
Industry Development Department: Responsible for the investigation, collection, and organization of basic information of the paint and pigment industry, as well as conducting comprehensive analysis of economic activities. It cooperates with relevant departments to conduct research on the development planning, industry policies, and major technical issues of the paint and pigment industry, and proposes corresponding suggestions. It is responsible for the daily management of the association's technological innovation, environmental protection, technical services, and standard formulation, as well as the preparation of industry development plans and technological development plans. The department also organizes industry exchanges, professional training, vocational skill training and assessment, international activities, and various evaluations. It also coordinates technology transfer, technology cooperation, and technology identification among enterprises, and participates in the formulation of regulations related to environmental protection, safety, market, management, and other aspects of the paint industry in domestic and international economic and trade activities. Furthermore, it organizes various forms of technical training, technical consultation, and technical services, and assists government departments in establishing a system for integrity construction to promote the integrity rating of the paint industry.

China Coatings Magazine Co., Ltd.: Independently operates under the leadership of the Secretariat of China Coatings Industry Association. In accordance with the requirements of the "Articles of Association of China Coatings Industry Association" and the "Articles of Association of the Company," it fulfills the rights, obligations, and responsibilities conferred by the "Articles of Association" and implements independent accounting and autonomous operation within the scope of the company's articles of association. The magazine company consists of the editorial department, marketing department, design department, and IT department. The editorial department is responsible for the editing and publishing of "China Coatings," "China Coatings Industry Report," "China Coatings Industry Association Yearbook," "China Coatings Industry Business Guide," "China Coatings Industry Association Proceedings," and other publications. The marketing department is responsible for magazine advertising and distribution business, while the design department handles the advertising design and layout work for the magazine and proceedings.
China Coatings Magazine Monthly (ISSN1006-2556, CN11-3544/TQ) is a comprehensive scientific and technological journal with significant influence in the domestic coatings industry. It was approved for publication by the former State Science and Technology Commission and is sponsored by the China Coatings Industry Association. Launched in February 1986, it is a professional publication that integrates authority, professionalism, and guidance, targeting readers in the coatings industry, including coatings, raw materials, coating machinery and equipment, coating additives, and testing instruments. The extended "China Coatings" newspaper supplements the information contained in "China Coatings" magazine.
Beijing Tu Bo International Exhibition Co., Ltd.: Independently operates under the leadership of the Secretariat of China Coatings Industry Association. In accordance with the requirements of the "Articles of Association of China Coatings Industry Association" and the "Articles of Association of the Company," it fulfills the rights, obligations, and responsibilities conferred by the "Articles of Association" and implements independent accounting and autonomous operation within the scope of the company's articles of association. According to the annual exhibition work plan requirements of the Secretariat, it is fully responsible for the planning, promotion, exhibition recruitment, and investment attraction of various exhibitions and conferences. It promotes the branding of various exhibitions, leverages the resource advantages of the China Coatings Industry Association, and advances the market-oriented, standardized, and institutionalized development of exhibition work. It comprehensively achieves various work, management, and operational objectives assigned by the Association.
